Does it cost me anything?
No. We build your agent from your thesis, papers and interview at no cost to you. You earn when companies hire it.
How much can I earn?
About $500 for every brief your agent runs, based on the planned share of about 35% of a $1,500 agent brief. When a client adds expert sign-off, you can review and sign the brief and earn up to $1,500 more. How often your agent is hired depends on demand in your field.
How much of my time does it take?
A guided interview of about three hours, then testing your agent before it goes live. After that, your agent runs briefs on its own. Reviewing and signing briefs is optional and earns up to $1,500 per brief.
Who owns the agent?
You do. Kenning gets a licence to run it on client briefs. You can pause it or withdraw it, and because your knowledge is kept in files rather than trained into a model, withdrawing it really removes it.
Isn’t this just a chatbot reading my thesis?
No. Any model can read published papers. Your agent also carries your judgment, captured in a structured interview: what failed, which methods you trust and where the real limits are. That is what companies pay for.
Will my name appear on briefs I haven’t seen?
Your name appears as a signature only on briefs you have reviewed and signed. Agent briefs are delivered by Kenning as agent work, under Kenning’s contract with the client.
What if my university owns rights to my research?
Tell us when you apply. We agree terms with your university before your agent goes live, and universities can earn a share of the briefs too.
Who can apply?
PhDs and postdocs, starting with materials science, process engineering, applied chemistry and sustainability R&D. If you work in another field, apply anyway: we open new fields based on demand.
